Hit and Run: Musical Improv
Get ready for an off-the-cuff musical adventure unlike anything you've ever seen! With decades of combined experience, the performers of Hit and Run: Musical Improv take suggestions from the audience and weave them into songs, scenes and full-length musicals of every size and style. We don't know what we'll be singing about until you tell us!
HNR is Ann Flynn, Chris Gallegos, Mark Shonsey, Meredith Winfield, Natasha Gleichmann and Stephen Wilder, with music by Phil Rosenberg-Watt and Trent Hines.
Ann is pleased to finally be able to live the musical world she had previously occupied in her head. She received her B.A. from Baylor U. in Waco, TX where she was a proud member of the Guerilla Comedy Improv Troupe. Thanks to her singing cowboy.
Chris has been performing improv in Denver since 2001 and has appeared in several sketch shows at the Bovine Metropolis Theater. He's also part of the currently-running "Hit and Run: Musical Improv" and "On the Spot" casts at the Bovine. He has been a part of various improv troups including Collect The Whole Set, The Mood Swingers, and Wordplay. He is also part of the performance group, Nietzsche's Moustache, which wrote, directed, and performed "What The Dickens?" and "60 Minutes, The Musical". He is also proud to be part of "Makeshift Shakepeare," an all-male, all-Shakespeare improvisational romp at the Bovine, late night on Fridays.
Natasha is thrilled to be an "Ace" for the Draw during BMX on Thursday nights at the Bovine. She also plays with the Oklahoma Christian Summer Singers, and has played with On The Spot and Hit and Run. Natasha received her B.A. in Theatre from Pomona College and studied at the London Dramatic Academy. She recently graduated with her M.B.A. and is very useful...you might want to hire her. When not doing homework or on stage (so...never), she enjoys drinking a good dirty soy chai, singing opera, and watching Grey's Anatomy.
Stephen is a recent transplant to Colorado from Los Angeles, where he was a graduate of iO West, Second City, Bang Studio, and Westside Eclectic. Stephen is the founder and director of Hit and Run: Musical Improv, Colorado's only improvised musical, and he is also the executive producer of The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show, which performs regularly in Denver and Colorado Springs. One time at camp, an entire box of fireworks went off under his chair.
Meredith has many credits to her 'Moosume', including appearing in over 10 Bovine sketch productions, a trailer trash version of McBeth, and various other improv shows. A graduate of Bovine Metropolis Theater's Improv School(class #5), she is now a teacher herself. Meredith can be seen in Hit n Run Musical Improv, 539-ALI, and Two Girls at Once (TGAO). When not performing, she likes showing people various logos on aluminum cans.
