The SansScript Players
This artful fun-loving group swirls together on stage, playing like a bunch of soul mates from the school yard. Performing weekly for the past two years at the Bovine's long form showcase BMX, the SansScript Players premiered and developed their own long form improv structure 'Whirl.' Using their singular brain, they create dynamic and hilarious moments within scenes and even in those normally quiet spots between scenes. In their continued quest for heightened play, they've recently absorbed Del Close's Harold into their sceneplay, turning this time-honored form on its head. This group will leave you laughing and amazed, trying to explain what just happened.
MooCrew
Moo Crew has performed together for nearly two years at the Bovine Metropolis’ BMX. Moo Crew is constantly mixing it up by creating never-before-seen forms to frame their performances and provide you with a new way of viewing the world. Every couple of months the players choose and read a book as a group which they use as inspiration to create their form. To date their inspiration has come from "The Seven Deadly Sins and Cardinal Virtues of Science Fiction" by Isaac Asimov and other science fiction authors, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, and "World War Z" by Max Brooks which will be on stage beginning in the winter of 2009-2010. Come on down and enjoy these unscripted, unanticipated, shows and try to figure out how the heck they got to what you see from their book of choice.
