Eric has been doing Improv for over 20 years, most of it in Denver. He started learning improv in Chicago at The Second City, IO, Players Workshop, and at the Annoyance Theater. He then moved back to continue his exploration of the art. He directed and owned HeadGames for a time and then started the Acme Comedy Players. Eric and his wife Denise Maes then founded the Bovine Metropolis. They have been in business for over 15 years and operating the space at 1527 Champa for the last 11 years. He would like to thank everyone for the continued support and invite you to come down to the theater for a good laugh.
Corey has been appearing on the Bovine stage for over five years with groups such as Lather.Rinse.Repeat, Left Right TIM, and Superbaby. This year Corey is returning as a cast member of On The Spot. He still performs weekly with Left Right TIM, with whom he traveled to Scotland to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Closer to home, he produced and directed the Vibrant Vivacious Variety Show for the 2011 and 2012 CU Fringe Festivals. In May of 2013, he will graduate from CU with a Bachelors in Spanish and Portuguese Language and Culture.
Katy is excited to be in On The Spot and The Heirs of Hogwarts AND to be an instructor through the Bovine School of Improv. In the past, Katy has been a member of SuperBaby, the inaugural cast of Biography, and EliXir, the Bovine's 42nd graduating class.
A few of Katy's life-defining moments include: hiking the 110-mile Tour du Mont Blanc; pulling pints in a Dublin pub; trekking the Inca Trail; studying woodcarving, watercolor painting & African drumming in Strasbourg; serving as a part-time gallery manager for the Centro de Arte Communitario in Monteverde & as a volunteer at the Durika Biological Reserve near Buenos Aires, Costa Rica; and Mountain Biking down the World’s Most Dangerous Road from La Paz to Coroico in Bolivia. She also just completed a collection of short stories and is finishing her first screenplay.
Spencer is confusingly ethnic. He loves karaoke, improv, and staples. He graduated with the 42nd graduating class of the Bovine and now performs regularly with Moocrew, On the Spot, Manshow, Governor Jack, and various other groups. Apart from winning a third place ribbon in the science fair after killing the tomatoes he grew, Spencer's prime accomplishment thus far in life is winning the first season of Denver's Next Improv Star.
Jessie Hanson started learning improv at the Bovine Metropolis School of Improv in 2010, graduating with the 52nd Class in 2011. She has played with Susan and her Magic 8 Ball, Platypus Surprise, On The Spot, AlphaSquad, and Ball Pit Popcorn. All this team-playing experience has culminated in her competing for the crown in 2012's Denver's Next Improv Star! She's proud to be a year-round bicycle commuter and in her free time she is a distance runner and a beekeeper. The bees do not seem to return her affection.
