Memories are the paintings of our lives, and everyone has a brush. Imagine a group of comedians celebrating the aspects of life on stage using the elements of improvisation.
“Biography – Life as a Comedy” was such a popular show from the Bovine Metropolis Theater that the producers have decided to bring it back for a second season.
Combining the colors of improvisational comedy, off the cuff poetry, interpretive dance and spontaneous live music. Bovine actors take audiences into an unknown, endearing place of whimsy inspired by the memories and aspirations of the guest.
“Real people” from the Denver metro area who are involved in local non-profits, people who work daily to save the world, will be guests interviewed on stage about their life. These interviews will be the source for improv hilarity!
“The host interviews the guest live on stage about their personal history and experiences which lead up to a big moment in the person’s life," said the Bovine Artistic Director, Eric Farone. “Audience, host, and guest all laugh together as the improvisers take these engaging personal accounts and spin them into a frantic, absurd and laughter-filled evening."
In addition to providing exposure to the great work of these non-profit leaders, Bovine Metropolis Theater will also donate 20% of the ticket sales each night to the non-profit organization.
"Biography - Life as a Comedy" plays at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, from October 7 to November 19, 2011 Tickets are $20. All Bovine productions are for all ages.
