Our 37th Sketch Comedy Revue
See what Jack Frost is like on a first date. Peek into the lives of Christmas tree ornaments. Watch what happens on the hilarious, cringe-worthy chairlift ride to the top of a mountain after a love profession is rejected.
Hello Jolly explores these scenarios and many more in over 20 original sketches and musical numbers that offer a comical, relatable take on holiday happenings, real and imagined.
A holiday extravaganza, Hello Jolly is filled with music, comedy and a healthy dose of awkwardness, writer and cast member Kelly Cossette says. And isn’t that what the holidays are all about.
A clever show designed to delight patrons of all ages, Hello Jolly is a celebration of common holiday themes, like family gatherings, quirky traditions and the highs and lows of the season. It depicts Christmas Day through the eyes of a 21st century dad, follows girlfriends celebrating New Year’s Eve, and takes the audience along for a ride with a family searching for that ever-elusive mall parking spot.
“People are going to love how it reminds them of their own holiday celebrations. They will have that ‘Ah ha, yes!’ moment numerous times during the show,” Cossette says. “I think that will have them laughing even harder.”
Cast member Taylor Wingerter says the fast-paced, sketch show is a lot like Saturday Night Live.
“You get to see a multitude of situations, familiar and abstract, that will make you laugh and cry,” she says.
Hello Jolly plays Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. from November 29 through December 21 with two encore performances at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22 and at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23. Tickets are $18 (pre-paid), $20 (door).
