Armando, A Show for Lovers
A Valentine's Day Improv Comedy Show
For the past two years Bovine Metropolis Theater has performed a tribute to love. "Armando, a Show for Lovers" is the theater's way of celebrating Valentine's Day, and more importantly, celebrating love.
Three couples in different stages of their love lives, will be brought on stage, and interviewed by the cast. Then a group of talented improvisers will bring all the joys and hilarity of their relationships to life on stage through improvisation.
"My favorite thing about Armando is that we talk to real couples about their lives and that is the what fuels the improv for the night," said Artistic Director, Eric Farone. "You get to watch other people talk about their relationship, and then you see scenes about relationships. There is a very real connection to what these people are talking about. You will definitely see elements of your own relationship on stage."
The Armando is a form of improvisation, created by Armando Diaz, an improvisation instructor from Chicago. The romantic language basis of the name inspired Bovine Metropolis Theater to use the form for their Valentine's Day show.
Tickets are $45 for a couple and $25 for a single. All couples get a rose.
